About Fishworks

Chick and Dennis Durrett-Smith have been performing artists for more than forty years. The moved to Atlanta in June 1980 and worked consistently in theatre, dance, music and mime for a number of years. In 1985, God called them to devote themselves to the arts from His perspective.

Later that year, they were invited to bring a professional performing arts team to England on a short term mission trip. It was an eye opening and life changing trip. They discovered that people love to see art that is uplifting and fun! When they returned to the states, they were invited to perform and teach at state and national conferences, as well as individual churches, ministries and camps. They finally realized that God had a plan. Fishworks was born!

Since 1986, Fishworks has had the great privilege to travel the US, Great Britain, and Australia performing original pieces with a troupe of professional artists who love God and want to share Him with others. Their son, Ben, was born in 1986 and grew up traveling and eventually performing with the ensemble.

We offer performance, instruction, writing and creative services (directing, choreography, and coaching), all encompassed by and for the purpose of sharing the Gospel through the Fine Arts
